Our stay at Colombo VIlla was the perfect start to our time here in Sri Lanka. Despite our very late arrival from an international flight, we were warmly greeted at the front door and we slept so well in the super comfortable bed. The staff are very considerate and can't do enough to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. Breakfast is delicious and extensive, and they kindly catered for my plant based dietary needs. At the end of each hot day, the very clean pool was a treat to return to and refresh before dinner at a locally recommended restaurant. There is plenty of hot water and good shower pressure, very effective wi-fi connection in our room and they provided fantastic suggestions for getting to know the city. Most areas are walkable, if you don't mind the heat, or short tuktuk rides away. We are staying again on our departure from Sri lanka, and are very much looking forward to returning to Colombo Villa.

Just stayed one night but lovely hotel in quiet location, delicious and full breakfast, very helpful staff, and clean and refreshing swimming pool. Big thumbs up for providing bed nets - they are harder to find within this price range than we had expected.

We had posted a second review for Colombo Villa so we are not sure why it is no longer on Booking.com.. This is our home away from home in Colombo. Our second stay here was as wonderful as our first and we will definitely return on our next trip to Colombo. Our room was very spacious and super clean with an enormous, very comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. With a well appointed bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities, and very efficient internet, there is everything you need for your stay. Should you require anything else, the wonderful staff will help you out. They cannot do enough for you, and are always available to assist you with suggestions about their town, arrange transport, or suggest restaurants, as well as smaller things such as ensuring you have enough towels for the pool. Breakfast is generous and delicious, and they went out of their way to provide plant-based options for dietary requirements. We highly recommend a stay at Colombo Villa on your visit to Sri Lanka.

Huge bed, Kingsize plus in Teak room. Breakfast, after the fruitplatter, which would have been already sufficient, came the omelet, sausages, honey coconut pancakes, vegetable snack, toast with marmalade. Location : walking distance 2 minutes from Lional Wendt theatre, and only 6 minutes from several trendy restaurants.

Amazing stay. Manager was friendly and super helpful. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, walking distance to museums and restaurants.

Lovely warm welcome from the manager and one of his staff, welcome drinks and the room already lovely and cool. Kids loved the pool and football table, and the breakfast was fantastic.

Lovely small hotel in Colombo 7. Delicious breakfast! Kids loved the pool, perfect for cooling off. Friendly staff helped with everything. Clean, air conditioned room, good WiFi, fridge in room, good facilities generally. We enjoyed it so will be staying again later in our trip.

We loved Colombo Villa. Perfect for arrival (or departure). Derick stayed up late to welcome us. Our room was big for 5 people and very clean etc. We loved the carefully presented fruit etc for breakfast and the pool was excellent (clean ++). Can't say enough good things. Derick also helped with onward travel (lovely driver) and we found it very convenient and safe for moving around on foot, car and tuk tuk. A really perfect start to our holiday.
